Bernardapora Frag — Rare & Unique LPS Coral
Bernardapora is a rare and fascinating LPS coral genus closely related to Goniopora, featuring similarly long, flowing polyps but with distinct skeletal and growth characteristics. Seldom seen in the Australian reef hobby, Bernardapora is a genuinely unusual and prized addition to any LPS collection.
Care Requirements
- Care Level: Intermediate — similar care to Goniopora; requires stable parameters
- Lighting: Low to moderate — PAR 50–150 recommended
- Flow: Low to moderate — gentle, indirect flow to encourage polyp extension
- Placement: Sand bed or low rockwork — allow space for full polyp extension
- Reef Safe: Yes — with space
- Water Parameters: Temp 24–27°C | Salinity 1.023–1.025 | Ca 400–450 | Alk 8–10 dKH | Mg 1250–1350
Feeding
