Duncan coral is often put straight into mid or high light zones to encourage faster growth, but this can stress the coral if it hasn’t been acclimated properly.
Too much light can cause:
retracted polyps
slower growth and poor extension
pale or washed-out colouration
They generally do best in low to moderate lighting with gradual acclimation, especially after shipping or cutting.
