AMA “Birdnest” — Cut To Order Signature Colony Frag
The AMA “Birdnest” is a classic green Birdnest Acropora (Seriatopora hystrix) Signature Colony, available as a cut-to-order frag from our established mother colonies. Birdnest corals are among the fastest-growing SPS corals available — rewarding reef keepers with rapid, intricate branching growth and vivid green colouration.
Frag Size & Ordering
- Base frag size: ~2cm (1 x Qty)
- Larger frags available: Purchase multiple quantities for a proportionally larger frag — e.g. 2 Qty = ~4cm frag
- Cut to order: If a healed frag is not currently available, please allow up to 2 weeks for healing. Fresh-cut frags can be sent on request.
Care Requirements
- Care Level: Intermediate to Advanced
- Lighting: Moderate to high — PAR 150–350 recommended
- Flow: Moderate to high — good flow prevents detritus settling in the fine branches
- Placement: Mid to upper tank on stable rockwork
- Reef Safe: Yes
- Water Parameters: Temp 24–27°C | Salinity 1.025–1.026 | Ca 400–450 | Alk 8–10 dKH | Mg 1250–1350
