Gold Hammer Coral — Assorted (Euphyllia ancora)
The Gold Hammer Coral is a premium and highly desirable colour morph of the classic Hammer Coral, featuring rich golden tentacle tips that shimmer beautifully under reef lighting. Gold Hammer morphs are among the most popular and collectible Euphyllia varieties in the hobby.
Care Requirements
- Care Level: Beginner to Intermediate
- Lighting: Low to moderate — PAR 50–150 recommended
- Flow: Low to moderate — gentle, indirect flow for full tentacle extension
- Placement: Mid to low rockwork — allow space as tentacles extend significantly
- Reef Safe: With space — Hammer corals have sweeper tentacles that can sting nearby corals
- Water Parameters: Temp 24–27°C | Salinity 1.023–1.025 | Ca 400–450 | Alk 8–10 dKH | Mg 1250–1350
Feeding
Target feed with mysis shrimp, Reef Roids, or zooplankton 1–2 times per week for best growth and colouration.
